Our sea front restaurant offers delicious, innovative, fresh and natural meals. From breads and jams to soups and sauces, everything you’ll eat at Karamba is home made.
Almost all of the vegetables used in our kitchen are grown organically either in our backyard or sourced locally from the surrounding villages. Our chef buys fish directly from the fishermen each morning.
Our cuisine is appreciated for its quality, originality, variety and the use of organic and ayurvedic products. Specialized in the combination of Mediterranean and Swahili cuisine, we also offer a vegetarian menu, a wide variety of seafood and Asian specialties.
Our menu is “à la carte”.
Our breakfast consists of a variety of items: seasonal fresh fruits, fresh juices, eggs, homemade jam with spices, whole meal bread, pancakes, milk, spiced and herbal teas with herbs from our garden, and Tanzanian coffee.
Candlelit dinner is served on the beach under the dazzling beauty of the African studded sky when it´s half occupancy. The bar, facing the beach, offers an extensive variety of cocktails, selected wines, beers and spirits, fresh fruit juices, smoothies and milkshakes.
The Chill Out offers a relaxed atmosphere; accompanied by an accurate sound track, sit back overlooking the dolphins diving and the Humpback whales sometimes, watch the sun as it sinks into the Indian Ocean painting the sky orange and gold.
